Brec Duvall

Bookkeeper

Brec Duvall is one of the two secretaries on staff at Cavanaugh Free Will Baptist Church. She and her husband Stephen started attending Cavanaugh in the fall of 2001 after Stephen graduated college. Brec later graduated college with a Business Administration degree from University of Arkansas Fort Smith. They have lived in Greenwood since early 2002 and have two children: a son, Brasier, and a daughter, Kieryn.

Brec considers her position an answer to prayer. She worked for Arvest Bank for twelve years before deciding to be a stay-at-home Mom for her children. The summer before her youngest, Kieryn, started Kindergarten, Brec and Stephen were contemplating her return back into the work force. They began to pray that God would lead her to apply for the position that would work around family and be where He wanted her.

While doing a Bible Study one night, God spoke to her and asked, “Why are you limiting Me? Tell Me what you want and be specific when you pray.” Brec started praying for not only the perfect job that would work around her family’s wants and needs but that the perfect job would come to her. Less than one month after she started praying this prayer, Bro. Will called her to see if she might be interested in her current position.

Brec is a member of the first service praise team, teaches a small break-out youth group on Wednesdays, helps with the food pantry, and serves as a teacher in Wee Worship.
