Our Story

Cavanaugh Children’s Center (CCC) is a ministry of Cavanaugh Free Will Baptist Church in Fort Smith, Arkansas. It was established 40 years ago to provide a loving, supportive, safe, and educational environment for families in need of toddler, preschool, and school-age care.

Our goal is to create a secure, nurturing space where children can grow socially, emotionally, physically, intellectually, and spiritually through a Bible-based program led by a dedicated, professional staff.

Most importantly, it is our desire that every child who comes through our doors knows they are deeply loved by God.

Our Mission

We believe children thrive in an environment that values their individuality while providing support and opportunities to grow emotionally, socially, creatively, and spiritually. By building on each child’s unique strengths, interests, and curiosities, we encourage them to explore the world around them, develop new skills, and form meaningful relationships.

Policies

Cavanaugh Children’s Center is a private Christian preschool and summer camp.

As a private school, the administration of Cavanaugh Children’s Center reserves the right to accept or decline enrollment of any family. Enrollment is not guaranteed, and re-enrollment is not automatic—especially if the administration determines that past actions of a parent, guardian, or student toward the administration, staff, or fellow students were detrimental to the success and well-being of the school.

At any time, if the administration determines that it is in the best interest of the Center to terminate a student’s enrollment, it is within our rights to do so.

All students and families are expected to follow the policies of the Center and to maintain positive, respectful relationships with other students, families, and staff. Behavior that creates unnecessary disruption, conflict, or unrest will result in forfeiture of enrollment.

Cavanaugh Children's Center has an open-door policy. Parents are always welcome to come by the school to see their child. No appointments are necessary. We encourage parent participation in our school, our activities, and our programs.
