Jason Nichols

Executive Pastor

Jason Nichols is originally from Pryor, Oklahoma. He earned a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from OSU in 1996. During that time, he said yes to God’s call on his life to be a youth minister. After graduating from OSU, he enrolled at Hillsdale College and graduated with a B.A. in Theology.

Jason was hired as the Youth Pastor at Cavanaugh in December of 1997 and served in that role for nearly 19 years. Jason met his lovely wife Joy through the church and they married on January 1, 2000 (the perfect anniversary)! They now have four sons: Eli, Isaac, Matthew, and Jude. As a family, they enjoy serving in church, playing sports, working out, and spending time in the outdoors.

In 2016, Jason transitioned to the role of Executive Pastor at the church and currently serves in that position. Now he focuses most of his time working with volunteers and overseeing the day-to-day operations of the church.
