Mason Polk
Adult Ministries Pastor
Mason was born and raised in Fort Smith. He accepted Jesus as his savior at 7 years old then accepted the call to ministry and began preaching at 10 years old. It was in the youth group that Mason met his future wife, Karinda. God has certainly used the pastors and ministries of Cavanaugh Church to greatly impact the trajectory of his life.
Following in the footsteps of his mentors, Mason went to Hillsdale Free Will Baptist College (now Randall University) and received a BA in Christian Ministry – Pastoral Ministry. After receiving his degree, he began pastoring the Southern Oaks Free Will Baptist Church in Oklahoma City, OK. While pastoring, he started working on his Masters in Biblical Exposition from Liberty University in Lynchburg, VA. During this time that he accepted the opportunity to be the Vice President for Institutional Advancement for Randall University. His love for Christian higher education led him to pursue a PhD in Leadership from Dallas Baptist University, which he is currently working towards completing.
In June of 2025, Mason followed God’s leading to return back to Cavanaugh as the Adult Ministries Pastor. Both he and Karinda have a heart to see the adults of the church grow spiritually as they navigate the various seasons of life.
The Polks have one daughter (Adley Jo) and one son (Asa).
